Training Schedule - 2012
Due to lifeguard training at New Hall, Tuesday evening training in 2012 will be from 19.30 to 21.00 on the following dates:

- 28th February
- 27th March
- 24th April
- 29th May
- 26th June
- 31st July
- 25th September
- 30th October
- 27th November
- 18th December
Normal squad training times are as follows:
Intro Squad
From age 7/8 yrs
Key points:-
- 12 years and over must attend a minimum of 3 sessions a week
- Main aim is to gain qualification into the Junior Development Squad

Junior Development Squad
The Junior Development Squad has been introduced to cater for swimmers that are in need of a more flexible training regime. Each swimmer will have short and long term goals that will be realistic in relation to their training committments.
Key points:-
- Minimum age will be day of 10th birthday, if promotion criteria has been met from intro
- Minimum of four sessions per week (including one early morning)
- Minimum one early morning per week
- Short / Long term goals
- Main aim is to gain qualification into the Championship Development Squad

Senior Squad
For older members of the squad that still enjoy club activities and still wish to compete, but are not fully committed. These swimmers still have an option to join the Championship Squad if they meet that criteria.
Key points:-
- Minimum age is year that swimmer turns 15 (from January(
- At least 3 sessions per week (including one morning - Sunday included)
- Any swimmer who cannot attend 3 sessions per week, or does not train at the level that would be expected from any 15 year old or over, will be asked to transfer to a Riverside session
- Short / Long term goals, if requested

Championship Development Squad
Entry only by Head Coaches Approval
Must be 1 second off a 100m Essex qualifying time (Oct to July)
Minimum age of 10yrs - minimum of 5 sessions a week
11/12yrs - minimum of 6 sessions a week
13/14yrs - minimum of 7 sessions a week
15yrs+ - minimum of 8 sessions a week (14 hours)
10 minutes mobility/land training before the start of all evening sessions.
All minimum sessions should include at least 1 early morning
